Women's soccer is one of the biggest college sports in America. There are more women's programmes than men's, and NCAA Division I women's teams can offer more scholarship equivalencies than men's teams — which makes the US a standout destination for talented UK girls.
Why the opportunity is strong
- A large number of women's programmes across NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA.
- Higher scholarship limits at Division I than the men's game.
- Professional-standard facilities, coaching and sports science.
- A degree alongside high-level football.
What coaches look for
Technical quality, athleticism and game intelligence matter — but so do grades. Strong academics can unlock additional aid and open doors at more selective universities.
